Alix first began learning silver smithing techniques about 14 years ago in high school. She worked at Bead It, a Jewelry supply store in her hometown back in 2013-2014 where she continued learning and eventually began teaching classes. Since then she has studied at the New Approach School for Jewelers and has earned a Bench Jeweler’s Certificate. She’s also completed an apprenticeship with a fine jeweler in California. Recently she’s been inspired to teach and has taught a series of workshops in Southern California and Hawaii.

She has a jewelry line where she mostly does custom work. It’s called yoku jewel (@yoku.jewel) on instagram. YOKU means bath in Japanese, and Alix named her line yoku with the intention to harness the feeling a bath in each piece… purity, relaxation, surrender, vulnerability, and peace.
